How to style your mantel two ways with Stylist @taper_jean_girl.
STYLE ONE
- Create a central focal point, here I chose a bold brass mirror which instantly draws your eye.
- Cluster objects of varying heights off centre.
- Use books to elevate select décor, giving your eye an intriguing line to follow.
- Style foliage in a large sculptural vase to give instant visual appeal.
- Leave negative space and be sure to overlap your décor

STYLE TWO
- Overlap framed art and pictures in varying sizes, off centre. The right combination of art can take your interior to the next level, I chose to stick to a monochromatic colour palette so as not to overwhelm the eye.
- Use large sculptural pieces as focal points, I love to incorporate a metallic element for just this purpose.
- Layer objects in odd numbers, I like to go with the 3 – 5 rule, here you can see I’ve layered 3 pictures on the right and 5 objects on the left.
