Smart Parking

St Ives Village has a ticketless parking system, based on number plate scanning technology. Parking is FREE for customers who visit for 3 hours or less, after that charges will apply (see below).

Customers may enter the car park multiple times during the day, there must be a 1 hour 15 minute gap between each time you exit and re-enter the car park, otherwise you will be charged the daily rate. If re-entering within the 1 hour and 15 minute window, we recommend you park in the external car parks to avoid incurring charges.

All underground carparks owned by St Ives Shopping Village being Blue (B2), Red (B1), Green (C) and Yellow (A) will be equipped with the ticketless technology. All open-air parking is controlled by Ku-ring-gai Council and variable time limits throughout the area apply.

How Does it Work?

The smart parking system is based on license plate recognition technology, no tickets are issued.

On Entry
1. Stop at the entrance boom gate where your license plate will be scanned automatically by a camera.
2. The boom gate will open once the number plate has been captured.

On Exit
1. Before returning to the vehicle you will need to go to the Automatic Pay Machine (APM) and enter your license plate number.
2. If you have stayed longer than 3 hours, the fee can be paid by either cash or credit card at the pay machine.
3. If your stay is under 3 hours, there is no need to visit a pay machine, you can proceed directly to the boom gate which will open automatically.
4. Proceed to the exit boom gate which will automatically open once the license plate has been scanned.

Parking Guidance System
Beacon lighting helps identify available bays; a green light indicates an available space, a red light indicates a car space is full and a blue light indicated disabled parking.

Electronic signage boards indicate the number of bays available in certain areas to help assist you in finding a park and aiding navigation.
