St Ives Shopping Village parking is free for customers visiting for three hours or less.

Please note there is a credit card fee of 8 cents per card transaction.

If you are re-entering the underground carpark, please leave a 1 hour and 15-minute gap between exit and re-entry or you’ll be charged from the moment you re-enter the car park, as per the parking rates listed.

If you choose to revisit the centre within this 1 hour and 15-minute window, we recommend parking in the external car parks to avoid charges.

Smart Parking System

Our parking system scans your number plate on entry, so no tickets are issued or needed.

Entry

  1. Stop at the entrance boom gate. Your number plate will be automatically scanned.
  2. The boom gate will open and you can drive through. Customers should note their time of entry.

Exit

  1. Visit the automatic pay machine (APM) before returning to your vehicle.
  2. Enter your number plate. If you’ve stayed over three hours, pay with cash or credit card.
  3. The boom gate with automatically open once your number plate has been scanned.

Additional Info

All underground carparks owned by St Ives Shopping Village — Blue (B2), Red (B1), Green (C) and Yellow (A) — are equipped with the number plate recognition parking system. All external parking is controlled by Ku-ring-gai Council and variable time limits throughout the area apply. (Please check signage, as time limits vary according to the location.)

Parking Areas

Staff Parking

There are two designated areas for staff car parking in the external car parks, on a first come first serve basis.

These are sign posted and are located to the left of the Cowan Road Exit and the Village Green Parade entry, adjacent to the Village Green.

There is no allocated staff car parking underground.

Free Disabled Parking

If you have an authorised disabled parking permit, you’re entitled to all day parking, free of charge.

Authorised disability parking permit holders can register their permit and number plate details at the Centre Management Office on Level 2. A limit of one car per permit holder is allowed. Registration must be renewed annually.

Electric Vehicle Charging

Parking FAQs

Does St Ives Shopping Village have ticketed parking?

St Ives Shopping Village has a ticketless ‘Smart Parking’ system, where your number plate in scanned on entry — so no tickets are issued or needed.

How long can I park for?

Free parking is for 3 hours, with an additional 15 minute grace period for you to exit the car park after payment at a pay station. After 3 hours, a fee is charged in 30 minute increments.

If I stay less than 3 hours, do I need to go to the pay machine?

No. You can proceed directly to the boom gate if your stay is under 3 hours. The boom gate will automatically open once your number plate has scanned and no charge will be incurred.

Will I be able to visit more than once per day?

Yes. You will need to exit the car park for a period of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Then you’ll be entitled to stay an additional 3 hours for no charge. You can park multiple times per day, however there must be a 1 hour and 15-minute gap between exit and re-entry or you’ll be charged from the moment you re-enter the car park — as per the parking rates listed above. If you choose to revisit the centre within this 1 hour and 15-minute window, we recommend parking in the external car parks to avoid charges.

What happens if I don’t know my number plate?

Simply proceed to the exit gate in the car park if your stay is under 3 hours. If your stay is over 3 hours, proceed to the boom gate and pay at the gate via credit card.

Are the external car parks included in the ticketless parking system?

No, the external car parks are owned and managed by Council. Time limits vary depending on the location and car park, so check signage for parking time limits.

If I have a hair or beauty appointment and stay for lunch or shopping, I will go over my 3 hour limit. Will I have to pay for parking then?

Standard rates apply after a stay of 3 hours. Some hair and beauty retailers are able to provide additional time for the car park. This is at the individual retailer’s discretion — so speak to them directly.

I have a disabled parking permit. Will rates apply?

If you have an authorised disabled parking permit you’re entitled to all day free parking. Authorised disability parking permit holders can register their permit and licence plate details in Centre Management. A limit of one car per permit holder is allowed. Registration is required annually.

Where are pay stations located?

There are 4 pay stations located at the entry to the Blue car park, the Harris Farm stairs and the Woolworths ramp.

If I don’t want to pay, where can I park?

We encourage you to take advantage of free parking for the first three hours. There is also ample street parking available in the area.

Will I be charged for the time it takes me to park my car?

On entry, a camera will capture or recognise licence plate details and a digital screen will display each vehicle’s arrival time. The 3-hour free parking limit begins on entry. However, you will be given an extra 15 minutes of free parking so you have time to exit the car park from the pay machine on exit.

What if I experience a problem at the boom gate?

The car park is managed 24 hours a day by our provider, Point Parking.
