For over two decades, Vahe Tomassian has been a friendly, familiar face at Goodtimes Watchmaker, nestled in the heart of St Ives Shopping Village.
As the owner and sole craftsman behind the counter, Vahe has spent 21 years in the centre — and 40 years perfecting his craft as a watchmaker.
When he first opened his doors, there was no other watchmaker in the Village. “I was given the opportunity to start a business, and I took it,” Vahe says. Since then, he’s built a reputation for meticulous workmanship and honest service, earning the loyalty of generations of customers.
Vahe’s expertise covers the full spectrum of timepieces — from antique and vintage clocks to high-end Swiss watches and pocket watches. “I enjoy the challenging jobs that not everyone can do,” he shares. “It’s satisfying when customers appreciate my detailed work, and even more so when they recommend me to their friends.”
As a long-standing business in the Village, Vahe’s connection to the St Ives community runs deep. “It’s been 21 long years of loyalty to the centre and the community,” he reflects.

To celebrate his 21st anniversary at St Ives Shopping Village, Vahe is offering a 21% discount on most jobs, including batteries, throughout December as a heartfelt thank you to his loyal customers.
You can visit Vahe at Goodtimes Watchmaker, or contact him directly on 0403 111 125.
Vahe likes to keep things personal, one conversation (and one timepiece) at a time.
