Quick gift and food guide this Easter!
Apparently chocolate isn’t for everyone, so we’ve put together a handy Easter shopping and gift guide. Find your inspiration here.
Believe it or not, summer is over, and Easter is just around the corner. While the last year has taught us to expect the unexpected, and last April had a very different feel, we’re all hoping for some easy family fun this Easter and throughout the school holidays. This little Easter shopping and gift guide will help you prepare for the occasion with tips for whipping up a feast, baking ideas, autumnal style inspiration, sugar-free gifts for the whole family and, of course, chocolate treats.
A wonderland snap for the grandparents
From Wednesday 31 March to Tuesday 6 April, snap some Easter photos of the kids at our Easter Wonderland set. Award-winning photographer Naomi Reiter will be taking family portraits (with or without the Easter Bunny!) on Thursday 1 April, from 2pm–5pm, and Saturday 3 April, 10am–2pm. You’ll get two photos emailed straight to your inbox for $15 + GST. Bookings via our website are essential, see website for more times.
You’ll find our Easter Wonderland just outside Bed Bath N’ Table, so however you decide to capture the moment, you can stop in and pick out a frame for an easy gift for doting grandparents.
For your chance to win a $100 gift card, upload your photo to Facebook or Instagram with #EasterAtStIves.
An autumn home makeover
If you’re after a gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself, it’s the perfect time of year to pick up some gorgeous homewares. From rustic tableware and linens in autumn colours, to bunny-adorned egg cups, baskets, tea towels, place mats, mugs and serving plates, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to stop by Bed Bath N’ Table and Plenty Kitchen & Tableware.
For those of us with a serious chocolate addiction, it doesn’t get much better than Easter. Once you’ve stocked up on choc eggs from Woolworths, round out the sweets offering with macarons from Rebecca Lauric Patisserie and nuts, nougat and chocolate-coated freeze-dried strawberries from The Source Bulk Foods. Don’t forget the (choc-chip) hot cross buns from Bakers Delight!
An Easter feast
While no one could blame you for eating nothing but Easter eggs for an entire long weekend, it’s also a chance to put together a delicious feast. Stop in at Sydney Seafood inside Harris Farm Markets for the freshest fish, prawns and calamari, order succulent cuts of meat from Craig Cook The Natural Butcher or Sutcliffe Meats, and find a huge range of sauces and marinades at AM-Mart. Otherwise, take the effort out of event prep and order a gourmet platter from Deli Hub.
Sugar-free gifts for the kids
Keen to minimise the sugar rush and gift something that lasts? Kidstuff has all the educational games, wooden toys and snuggly soft bunnies you’re looking for. Visit Cotton On Kids or Sweet Thing for the coolest clothes and accessories, Book Review for a picture book or two, and Bed Bath N’ Table for paint-your-own ceramic egg cups and coin banks.
Kids can’t have all the fun, and an autumn fashion giveaway is an extra excuse to get something stylish for your friends and family. Spend $250 on fashion, accessories, jewellery, footwear or beauty between 16 March and 5 April to receive a $25 St Ives Shopping Village gift card. Try Good Times Watchmaker, Elan Jewellers and RG Collection for something special, browse Witchery, R.M. Williams and Country Road for this season’s latest threads, or check out ECCO Shoes, which has stylish, comfortable shoes for men, women and children, plus fine leather bags and accessories.
