Coronavirus Information and Advice

Following the NSW Government update effective from Friday 29 January 2021, the wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory for visitors to St Ives Shopping Village.  Masks do remain compulsory for front of house front-of-house hospitality staff, hairdressers and beauticians.

Although masks are no longer mandatory for our visitors to The Village, in the interests of public safety and to protect the spread of COVID 19, we do recommend that face masks are still worn to protect the communities  wellbeing.

We continue to maintain precautionary measures to minimise and mitigate the risk of the virus and are currently undertaking the following:

  • Mandatory check-ins required in The Market Room, at cafes, restaurants, hair and beauty salons via the NSW Government QR Code. Check in at other retailers is optional, but recommended.
  • Recommended face masks for visitors and staff. All hospitality retailers, hair dressers and beauticians are still required to wear masks
  • Signage displayed to reinforce precautions that should be maintained (including hand hygiene, social distancing and the wearing of face masks throughout The Village)
  • Loudspeaker announcements on high rotation
  • Maintaining the 4 square metre rule in all cafes and restaurants
  • Cleaning rotations across high touch points using hospital grade disinfectant every 2 hours (including common areas, lifts, bathrooms)
  • Providing sanitiser dispensers in the common areas.
  • Encouraging retailers, contractors and customers to promote good hygiene practices through retailer communications and decals in bathrooms, entrance doors, lifts and at customer service desk

For further information visit:

All of our retailers have been requested to comply with SafeWork NSW, NSW Health and Australian Government Health authorities’ guidelines and directions in ensuring their own COVID-19 response plans are adequate and additional cleaning practises are in place during this time.

To contain any potential spread of COVID-19, NSW Health requests that anyone who is not well, presenting COVID symptoms or has been  in contact with someone with symptoms, should stay at home, self isolate, get tested and await results.

Let’s work together and stay safe in 2021.
